On behalf of our CAS group we would like to thank everyone who has helped us achieve our goal which was to provide enough sanitary products to sustain the needs of the girls at a local school, which is providing education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. In the end we managed to raise enough money to provide the girls with a long term solution, by providing them with menstrual cups and reusable pads, with the addition of some extra non-reusable pads.
Not only were we able to help our local community, but we also worked alongside another international school in Denmark, who helped us tremendously. This CAS project has had a far reaching impact, on us and on the girls we have helped. We hope our project has brought awareness to this globally pressing issue.
We encourage any students looking for a CAS project or wanting to help in their community to carry on our initiative; reduce the number of girls that miss school due to inadequate access to sanitary products!
