PA PARENT WORKSHOP
HBIS PA are hosting a parent workshop run by Jonathan Mitchell and Mark De La Ray from the Glenbrook Practice – ‘Adolescent Behaviour – What is typical & what is not’.
This parent workshop will include an interactive presentation and Q&A session around identifying and dealing with the typical adolescent behaviours versus the problem behaviours.
It will look at adolescent–family conflict and the ways that families get polarized, don’t see eye to eye, and find themselves escalating or shutting down.
SATURDAY LABS – EDRO ROBOCODE 101
The PA is very excited to bring our student body a three weekend series of classes with instructors from Edro called Robocode 101. These classes offer a practical and fun approach to coding. In the classes, students will work with robots and tackle a unique curriculum of problems developed to build an interest and understanding of coding. They will use the Parallax S2 robot, which is a sophisticated educational robot that is used in many US schools from primary through university.
This series of workshops will cover a full term’s extracurricular content
