I’m Scarlett Osborn and I am sure that some of you have noticed that there are older children in the Early Years and Junior Primary classes these days. No, we are not lost! Mrs Henry and Mrs Trollip (our PYP 6 educators) put their minds together and came up with this brilliant idea that involves us Year 6’s socialising with children in the younger grades in the mornings before school. It’s called Learning Leaders and the PYP 6 children that were interested in doing it had to write a motivational letter putting themselves forward and explaining why we would be good in this role. So what’s it all about? We arrive at school a little early and go to our Learning Leader classrooms. We read, play games, draw and generally have a lot fun with the younger children! I think this is a really great idea because as we move into the High School we will have close bonds with children in the lower grades and it brings our school closer together.
